At the Mercy Seat

We give ourselves what we think we deserve, usually from traumas, the pain and heartaches caused by how we were treated in the past make us believe the toxic things are all we deserve, and this is why we put ourselves in situations where we hurt ourselves. But our identify is found in Christ alone the past experiences, the mistakes we made, how people treated us are not the definition of who we are. As believers we are a new creation through Jesus Christ. We are called to walk in the light, not be lost through the darkness.

"And so, we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." 1 John 4:16

It is not because we are good or somehow a better person but because he is love. You see we are fearfully and wonderfully made and what has planned for us is good but just because we walked away from him, we found ourselves trapped in the web of this wicked world's lies. Through him who became a living sacrifice we are freed from all of it.

Today I am here with just a simple message and a reminder that when we stumble and fall through the highs and lows of this journey called life let's not get too caught up in the lies and lay there falling for a while until we find ourselves stripped off of our identity, we have in him. Sin and these worldly things don't have the power to enslave us again yes, we might misstep and fall but we shall rise up and keep walking through the grace he has provided.

"For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Romans 6:6

Lastly as you are reading this I would like to say this even if you have been down for a while it is not too late his mercy and grace is still here just open up your heart , kneel before his mercy seat where grace overflows.
